Illumination

The sign illuminates in the dark. Under normal conditions the sign is visible with ambient lighting which charges it. In the dark, when charged at the minimum of 54lux of ambient lighting, the sign will illuminate for more than 90 minutes as per UL 924. In situations where more than 54lux is present, the sign is able to charge to a higher saturation point which means increased brightness and extended durations. 

Mounting

Top, Side, or Back using anchors and 4 screws which are provided.

Housing

The sign itself is a single 1/16" thick sheet of aluminum with industrial-grade pigment baked on. The framing system consists of dual-channel extruded aluminum which is capable of supporting two signs (double face) within one frame.

Installation

The sign can be back-mounted installed without a mounting frame via screws directly through the aluminum sheet, however, the sign is intended to be installed using the aluminum framing system which supports back, side, and top mounting, as well as, single or double face combinations. For Side or Top mounting, for both single and double sided versions, the bracket and mounting kit is necessary. The sign is also rated for low location installations and meets OSHA's requirements.

Electrical

The sign does not possess any circuitry and is charged using photoluminescent pigment. The sign is charged using consistent ambient lighting measuring greater than 54lux or 5ft candles at all times during building occupancy.

Mechanical

The sign has no moving parts. The only requirement is to keep the face plate clean so as to not restrict the absorption of light.

Applications

Indoor or outdoor locations, dry, damp, or wet, cold or hot, and areas where access to electricity is limited.

Optics

The sign is rated for 75ft viewing distance via Underwriters Laboratories according to UL924 standards. The sign is visible via ambient lighting during normal conditions and illuminated letters during darker conditions.

Construction

Constructed from an aluminum substrate coated with premium-grade industrial glow in the dark pigments.
The frames and mounting brackets use extruded aluminum.

Intended Use

Schools, Offices, Hospitals, Commercial in areas where 5ft candles of illumination are present on the face of the sign during building occupancy.
